The fixture generates a diffused, glare-free light, as is distinctive of Poul Henningsen's reflective three-shade system. White opal glass or soft-touch black coated metal with a white interior side are also options for the fixture. The three-layered mouth-blown opal glass shades emit a warm glow surrounding the pendant, while the metal shades with white painted inner sides reflect a fine, predominantly downward focused light. Both are provided by the combination of a metal top shade and opal glass middle and lower shades. The supplied frosted glass diffuser is simple to install for even softer light dispersion.
