DIFFERENT VENEER, FRONT UPHOLSTERED LEATHER, CHROMED BASE
DESIGNER: ARNE JACOBSEN 1955 Denmark
Series 7 comes in different veneers and finishes. All chairs are made of pressure moulded sliced veneer. Front upholstery or full upholstery is available in a wide range of fabrics and leather types.
Arne Jacobsen designed the Series 7 chair in 1955, and it has become a modern furniture classic. Its distinctive form is both timeless and incredibly versatile, exhibiting personality without being overwhelming. Despite its slim design, the chair is built of 9 layers of pressure moulded veneer for strength, flexibility, and longevity. Within Fritz Hansen's chair line, this is the most popular design. The 3107 features steel-tubed legs that compliment the curving contour of the shell. Legs extend slightly past the seat's edge, allowing chairs to be easily stacked or stacked in rows. The base/legs are discretely affixed to a round disc beneath the seat, adding to Jacobsen's clean, basic design.
