Eva Harlou, a Danish architect, designed the Earth Stool, a circular bar stool. Earth Stool is the outcome of a novel waste-to-value process that allows Mater to utilize industrial waste from businesses, such as plastic waste and other fibre-based materials.

Upcycled industrial plastic waste from GROHE and coffee bean shells from BKI coffee were used to make the chairs. The approach is being developed with the help of the Danish Technological Institute and the University of Copenhagen. The waste materials are combined in a special compound that can be used for press moulding, which is a way to more efficiently reuse a company's resources. Earth Stool is a bar stool with a timeless Scandinavian design and steel framework, making it appealing and durable.
