The most influential Swedish glass sculptor, artist Vicke Lindstrand (1904-1983), was also a fine ceramic artist. During his sojourn at Uppsala Ekeby, he created tactile animals, figures and vessels in stoneware such as this delightful Inuit child in her red socks,peeking out of her seal skin boots. Stamped VL on the base.
