Designed in the mid 1950's by renowned glass artist Per Lütken for the Danish glassworks Holmegaard, the Minuet is an iconic mid-century art glass vase. Recognized by its folded, fluid, and distinctly heart-shaped silhouette, it remains a celebrated staple of Scandinavian Modern design. PerLütken took a simple, loving heart shape and elevated it into a heavy, sculptural piece of crystal. Its folded rim allows a small number of stems or a single flower to naturally fan out.
Per Lütken (1916–1998) was one of the most influential figures in 20th-century Danish glass. He spent his entire 45-year career at Holmegaard, where he designed over 3,000 objects.
