Since winning the 1937 Paris World Fair, design legend Alvar Aalto’s asymmetrical waves (“aalto” in Finnish) shape has become an icon of Scandinavian design. Taking inspiration from his native Finnish landscape, Aalto created timeless pieces that merged form and function. Each unique vase is first mouthblown, then hand cut before going through several polishings at the Iittala Glass Factory. The Aalto vase set includes a larger glass vase for wider flower arrangements while the smaller decorative vase showcases petite bouquets perfectly.
