Back in 1996, Manks opened shop after restoring a character 1960s building on Elgin Street, in the now renowned Soho district. Occupying over 2,600 square feet of shop Floor, Manks showcased her vast collection of unique European Antiques and Scandinavian Design pieces from the 20th Century. Ten years on, in our continuing effort to promote the appreciation of history and culture, Manks lovingly restored a neglected 1935 colonial terrace house off Garden Road for use as our present showroom, making a bold statement again to all who pass that the past is not to be dismissed. Nestled amongst modern high rises in the Central district, Manks shop house as it is fondly known, overlooks the Hong Kong Zoological & Botanical Gardens and the Chief Executive's residence. While we are in close proximity to the financial district, Manks is still one of the best kept secrets in town, frequented by discerning collectors, architects and designers, who appreciate the essence of 20th Century Modern Design and European antiques.
